Lessons and Training

Qualified Independent instructors provide a full range of training and lessons in the following disciplines: western pleasure, reining, horsemanship, showmanship, hunt seat, dressage, and jumping.  

Only trainers and instructors with extensive experience and a commitment to safe and humane treatment of the horse during each phase of training are allowed to work out of the Crystal Creek Equine Center. Each of our trainers and instructors operates independently and is fully insured against professional liability.

Brieser Performance Horses -- 

Carla Brieser understands horses and how to get the most from a horse-- and its rider.  Whether you are just starting out or experienced on the show circuit, Carla can train and show your horse to its best advantage. Brieser specializes in western disciplines such as western pleasure, western riding, reining and trail. She also trains and shows hunt seat horses. Carla will build a foundation of skills for both horse and rider to help you achieve your equine objectives,. From a young horses's first ride or producing a finished horse, Carla is can help.  Carla  is frequently asked to evaluate horses prior to purchase  and has several prospects for sale at all levels of training.

 Assets To Zip (Abbey) Abbey has earned her Open Pinto Horse Champion Designation earning over 1500 Pinto Points in Open, Amateur and Novice Youth All-Around Events.

Jess Bergantzel has been in the training and showing industry for over 12 years. His accomplisments include Tom Power's Championships, NSBA Championships, Multiple Iowa and Nebraska FUturity Winners, Multiple Circuit Winners, and Congress Finalists.  Jess is now accepting new clients at the Crystal Creek Equine Center including colt breaking, training and lessons, Please contract Jess directly at 402-618-5751.

 KATIE WILLS, LLC   Katie has competed at the Preliminary level of eventing, and continues to bring students and horses up the levels. Katie has brought horses up in both 'A' rated competitions, and recognized events. More importantly Katie has many successful students also competing at the top levels of competition, as well as students who are making their way up the USPC ratings.   A graduate of Lake Erie College in Ohio, Katie participated in the equestrian program and the IHSA team at Lake Erie College. She spent years as an assistant trainer with some of the best trainers in the country before starting Wills Way, LLC. Katie also has competed in the top levels of the jumpers and hunters at numerous horse shows from HITS in New York to WEF in Wellington, Florida.    
  

                           Anne Cizaldo

Anne, an FEI rider, gives lessons and clinics at Crystal Creek.  She is a licensed United States Dressage Federation "R" dressage judge, and regularly judges dressage shows and horse trials in the Midwest.

Anne is currently showing her Oldenberg Luschi, at Grand Prix. Anne achieved her USDF Gold Medal in 2007.

She is in training with Robert Dover this winter and will return to CCEC on April 1st.

Dana Pfab and Dannielle Baker

Dana  and Dannielle give private lessons for beginner to advanced kids and adults -- specializing in  Western Events and General Horsemanship. Dana is a Certified Iowa 4-H and Open Show JUdge and coached the Linn County 4-H Horse Judging Team for several years.  She has personally shown APHA horses to numerous Year End Titles in the Iowa Paint Horse Club. Riding lessons are the perfect gift for someone who loves horses! Dana has significant showing experience as well as working with younger children.
